This program examines the medications used to alleviate psychotic symptoms. Dramatic re-enactments illustrate the positive and negative symptoms as well as features such as cognitive dysfunction and dysphonic mood. Commonly prescribed agents used in the treatment of acute psychotic symptoms are presented. The precautions, side effects and drug interactions are addressed.
